Abstract: Chinese ceramic art, as an important carrier of national aesthetic spirit and cultural self-confidence, can be categorized into two types from the perspective of creation: ceramic arts and crafts and modern ceramic art. The former pursues integrity and focuses on material beauty, while the latter emphasizes the beauty of individuality through the release of materials’ “physical properties”, thereby constituting the field of creative aesthetics. The physiological synesthesia, psychological sense and emotional sense produced in the appreciation process not only reflect the local aesthetic experience of Chinese ceramic art appreciation but also highlight the aesthetic characteristics of Chinese ceramic art.
