Abstract: “One belt one road” policy is a new strategy proposed by President Xi Jinping for the development of Chinese economy. It aims to establish six new economic corridors on the basis of the Silk Road of ancient times. Along this road, Chinese porcelain was exported to many other areas on the Eurasian Continent. The new “One belt one road” policy poses a big challenge to Chinese ceramics. How to create name brands to expand the influence of Chinese ceramics in the world is the main task. This paper describes the history of the Silk Road, the problems with contemporary Chinese ceramics, the imminent demands of ceramic cultural transmission and the measures to cope with them.

Key words: one belt one road; ceramics; blue and white porcelain; enameled porcelain
