Abstract: As the raw materials, the silicon carbide and silicon, which added various sintering agents, were using to prepare the ceramics of silicon nitride combined silicon carbide (ceramic support) by atmospheric pressure sintering process. The impact of different sintering additives (Al2O3 、Y2O3、Al2O3 and Y2O3 ) on silicon nitride combined with silicon carbide ceramic support performance has been researched.Result shows the porosity, the pure water flux and pore size distribution of ceramic supports with Al2O3 are the maximum values, while these values in ceramic support with Y2O3 or Al2O3 mixed Y2O3 are relatively lower, among which the latter is the smaller value, whilst the bending strength of ceramic supports present opposite tendency. The ceramic support with Al2O3 appears the greatest porosity and pure water flux at the addictive amount of 6 wt.%, which is 5.1 m3/ (m2·h) and 40.9% respectively, however the bending strength of ceramic support with Al2O3 mixed Y2O3 is maximal, at 20.12 MPa, also the porosity of ceramic support with Al2O3 mixed Y2O3 is narrowest, at the range from 0.4 to 1.2 μm.
