Abstract: At temperature from 1000 to 1400 ℃, Ti3AlC2/Al2O3composites were prepared by SPS with Al2O3 and Ti3AlC2 as raw materials.The results showed that the main phases of products were Al2O3, Ti3AlC2 and small amounts of TiC at 1100 ℃. When Al2O3content was 70-80 wt.%, the micro-structure had large number pores, density of less than 3.60 g/cm3. 60Al2O3that was prepared with 60 wt.% Al2O3 at 1100 ℃ had dense micro-structure, but there was still a small amount of pores. When 60Al2O3 was synthesized at 1200 ℃, the density increased to 4.43g/cm3, the pores disappeared, hardness up to 0.93 GPa and wear ratio up to 0.3. When the temperature was increased to 1300-1400 ℃, amount of TiC was formed, but small changed in density, hardness up to 11.50 GPa, wear ratio up to 0.6.
