Abstract: The ceramic filter material was prepared by extrusion molding for gas-solid separation. The rock wool fiber and starch were used as main materials, sodium silicate and CMC were selected as binder and plasticizer, respectively. The effects of pore-forming agent content, water glass content and sintering temperature on the flexural strength and filtration resistance of the ceramic filter were discussed. The microstructure were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results show that when the content of pore-forming agent is 25% and the sintering temperature is 800 ℃, the material has excellent performance, the flexural strength is 7.8 MPa, the filtration resistance is 172 Pa and the porosity is 72%. After 120 times pulse-jet cleaning, the filtration resistance is 218 Pa, no longer increased significantly.

Key words: fiber; sodium silicate; gas-solid separation material; filtration resistance
