Abstract: This paper introduces the techniques of computer-aided geometric design and visualization for ceramic products and discusses how to improve the quality and the efficiency of the ceramic product innovative design. With computer-aided geometric design, free-form surfaces can be used to represent the ceramic product model, and free-form curves can be used to represent the texture on the ceramic product. The high-quality algorithms for modeling free-form curves and surfaces can improve the convenience of the innovative design of ceramic models and textures. The reverse engineering of building ceramic products by free-form surface interpolation facilitates the reuse of the design results of ceramic products. The visualization technology of the design quality of ceramic products can be used to build the closed design loop of ceramic products, and improve the quality of design. The natural semantics-driven ceramic design can be used to produce prototypes more efficiently and more intuitively according to customer requirements.
