Rebirth of Motifs: From Painted Pottery of Banpo Culture to Contemporary Tableware

Abstract: Banpo painted pottery is a representative part of Shaanxi painted pottery culture. This paper discusses the revival of Banpo pottery decorations through the adaption of their classic motifs to the modern standard for tableware design to meet the aesthetic demand of the contemporary people.
