Abstract: In late Ming, commercial ceramic industry began to flourish in Jingdezhen while the official ceramic production in the city gradually declined. The ceramic decorative patterns changed remarkably for various reasons. This paper studies the tourist destinations, transports and partners in the period described in the historical pictorial and textual records to reveal the relationship between some ceramic landscape paintings and the craze of the literati then about tourism and their pursuit of tourist spirit.
