Abstract: During the Ming and Qing dynasties, porcelain products were exported in large quantities, and as a medium of culturalcommunication, they bore on themselves the decorative patterns which reflected the results of cultural exchange. This paper analyzes theorigins and constructions of three types of leaf patterns and concludes that the "leaf pattern" has seen a long journey into Chinese culture andhas in turn had its influence spread to other cultures in the world through the medium of porcelain.
