Abstract: This paper attempts to roughly describe the aesthetic research of ceramic art since the 20th century. It elaborates the theoretical basis and approaches on which the research depends to advance, reveals the laws, summarizes the gains andlosses, and paves the way for the aesthetic research and theory building of modern ceramics.
