Abstract: Alumina fibers, aluminosilicate fibers and high aluminum fibers were respectively dispersed in inorganic adhesive homogeneously by using mechanical agitation technique. After vacuum filtrating, drying and sintering, the filter media were made. Based on the measurement and analysis results of their filtration resistance and bending strength, it was found that the performance of the filter media made from alumina fibers and high aluminum fibers were obviously better when compared with others'. Filter materials were prepared by mixing alumina fibers and high aluminum fibers in different ratios and then manufactured under the same technical condition. By analysis of their performance, it can be concluded that the material could have a perfect property with the filtration resistance of 41Pa/m/min, the bending strength of 6.9MPa and the porosity of 78% when sintered at 800℃ and the ratio between alumina fibers and high aluminum fibers was 9:1.
