Abstract: Nanosized mesoporous molecular sieve MCM- 41 was synthesized with tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) as the source of silica and cetyltrime - thylammonium bromide (CTAB) as the template. The photolumines cent functional supramolecule Eu (DBM)3 phen/APTES- MCM- 41 was prepared in chloroform, in which Eu(DBM)3phen as guest and MCM- 41 as host. Materi- als were characterized by XRD, HRTEM, IR and fluores cent spectros copy. Results reflect, photolumines cent purity increas ed after Eu(DBM)3phen incorporated into APTES- MCM- 41 pore channel. This is mainly becaus e - NH2 ligands on the surface of APTES - MCM- 41 largely influence ligand field around Eu3+. Becaus e of the disturbance of ligand field, the symmetry of Eu (DBM)3phen largely decreased, leading to the increasing of photolumines cent purity. Meanwhile, result reflects the photolumi- nescent intensity of Eu(DBM)3phen/APTES - MCM- 41 increas es as the incorporation of Eu3+ increases.
