Jingdezhen Ceramic Firing and Ecological Landscape Change

Abstract:This paper has qualitatively analyzed wood fuel, kiln and ceramics, the three unique cultural and ecological landscape systems of Jingdezhen through the illustration by practical cases and the interpretation with theories. The study discloses the relationships between fuel and heat transfer, kiln chamber and its capacity, and kiln structure and its firing schedule, and presents the principles behind the change of these landscapes in this city, thus enriching the theory of sustainable development based on the preservation of the cultural heritage and the protection of the ecologic.
