Abstract:The deficiency of foam ceramics in sound-absorbing performance and the reason were analyzed, and the influence of polymer-modifying on the sound-absorbing performance was studied. Foam ceramics were prepared by dip-coating, and modified by the solvent of neoprene rubber (the volume ratio of neoprene rubber to solvent naphtha is 1 ∶ 1). Sound -absorbing coefficient test indicates, with the thickness increasing to 10mm, 20mm, 30mm and 40mm, the average coefficient was up 11%, 22.3%, 22% and 94%.

Keywords:foam ceramics, dip-coating, polymer-modifying, sound-absorbing coefficient
