Abstract:Acid-resistant medium-Al2O3 ceramics (abortive as: ARM-Al2O3 ) was prepared with industrial aluminum oxide as main raw material. The influence of composition, sintering temperature, holding time and addition of witherite on its microstructure and properties was studied. The results showed that when sintered at 1360℃, the bending strength of A and C samples obtained from corresponding compositions can exceed 230MPa, which can meet the application requirements; with the increase of sintering temperature, the mechanical properties of sample A increased first, and then decreased. The main reason is that corundum phase content increased first and then decreased, while the content of anorthite and glass phase increased.
