A Reading of Lujun's Painting on the Porcelain Plate

Abstract: The paintings on the porcelain plates, "Lu's kids",. arc exaggerated and deformed children images of Lujun's original creation, whose loveliness,childishness and clumsiness are unprecedented. "Lu's kids" are Lujun's new artistic pursuance under the direction of traditonal chiness cultural and artistic aesthetics. In creating "Lu's kids", he throws to the winds tradition "rather clumsy than exquisite " in chinese painting enjoyed by literatis and skilfully combine clumsiness with exquisiteness."Lu's kids" images arc child­ish, clumsy and lovable, with the technigue of painting in which there is strength as well as grace and lightness they possess natural grace and detached delight, and with sur­rounding decorations aiternating between false and true, an artistic conception free form vulgarity is produced.
