Abstract: Paper, metal and ceramic artifacts in Jiangning museum were taken as experimental objects. The principles of several nondestructive testing technologies, including Raman spectroscopy and digital radiography technology, were introduced. Modern scientific instruments, such as portable Raman spectrometers and X-ray images, were used to examine the relics. The analysis of the detection results shows that the repeatability of the detection data by Raman spectroscopy is good. The autocorrelation of the measured data at the same point is more than 0.99, which indicates high reliability. The Raman spectra of ceramic relics and calligraphic works of different ages are obviously different from those of authentic and imitation pieces. The preservation of full spectrum lines at fixed points can be used as characteristic storage. X-ray technology can obtain the internal details of metal and ceramic cultural relics. The nondestructive testing technology represented by Raman and X-ray can provide characteristic elements for the establishment of cultural relic characteristic gene bank and provide technical support for the identification of cultural relic authenticity in existing archives.

Key words: cultural relic protection; gene pool; Raman spectroscopy; Ray digital technology
