1. The journal is aimed to publish ceramic scientific and technological papers, with topics including structural ceramics, functional ceramics, nanoceramics, energy materials, bioceramics, traditional ceramics, ceramic processing, kiln and equipment, ancient ceramics, glasses and so on. Submissions should be clear in statement, reliable in results, concise in structure and readable in language. Length of manuscript is recommended in the range of 4000-8000 words. Submissions will be subject to an article publication charge if accepted and published in the journal: 1800 RMB. If the paper exceeds the specific length or is required to expedite publication, there will be an additional fee.
2. Manuscripts should be written in order of title, authors, affiliation (city, postcode), abstract, keywords, CLC number, main text, fundings, references, author introduction and English part (title, abstract, keywords).
3. Title should be concise and accurate with ≤20 words, while using the international system of units (SI). Abbreviations, chemical symbols, chemical abbreviations should be voided in title.
4. Abstract should be concise and accurate, consisting of objectives, methods, results and conclusions. The length is about 200 words. Keywords are selected to express the main content of the manuscript, with number of 3-8. Abbreviations, chemical symbols, chemical abbreviations should be voided. Semicolon is used to separate the keywords.
5. Fundings should be acknowledged as footnote on the first page. Semicolon is used for separation, if two or more fundings are listed.
6. Arabic numerals are used to number title/subtitles, including 1, 2, 3 (first level); 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 (second); 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.1.3 (third); (1), (2), (3) (fourth). (1), (2), (3), …… are used in conclusions. Introduction is numbered as 0.
7. Figures and tables should be concise and tidy, with captions in both Chinese and English. Figures or photographs should be ≤6. Photographs should be original. Figures should be 50 mm×75 mm in size. All grayscale images and photographs should be sufficiently clear. Revolution should be 600 dpi. Microstructure images should be labeled with scale bar at lower right conner, instead of magnifications. Physical names, symbols and units of coordinates must be complete, which are separated with slashes. Unites are adopted according to the national standard (GB3100~ 3102-1993), with clear upper/subscripts.
8. Only main references are listed. Unpublished materials should not be used. Formats of references are as follows:
(1) Monographs/books, [No.] Authors. Title [M]. place of publication, publisher, year of publication
(2) Journal papers, [No.] Authors. Title [J]. Journal name. Year, volume (issue): start-end page number.
(3) Proceedings, [No.] Authors. Title [C]. Proceeding name. Place of publisher, year of publication, start-end page numbers.
(4) Patent, [No.] Applicants. Title [P]. Country. Type. Patent number. Publication date.
Other references should be cited according to the national standard (GB-T-7714-2005).
References should be complete. Only three authors are listed with “et. al”, if there are four or more authors. The authors are separated with comma. Chinese names are translated as surname followed by given name.
9. Authors should have copyrights of their manuscripts and ceramic works (photographs). The journal does not assume any joint and several liability arising from any copyright dispute. Upon submission, it is deemed copyrights have been transferred to the journal in both electronic and printing means. Without specific statement, it is also be deemed that the submissions have been agreed to be quoted or included in various abstracts, publications and relevant databases.
10. The editorial board or editorial department of the journal has the right to review the manuscript and decide whether to publish it or not, make textual amendments or modifications to the manuscript or make suggestions and return it to the authors for amendment. If the authors disagree, they must indicate clearly. All communications are conducted via email. Authors should direct contact with the journal publication department for inquiries. If the authors are not notified within 60 days, they may process their manuscript by themselves or submit it to other journals, but they must inform the editorial department of the journal. The corresponding author should provide contact information, including name, date of birth, gender, title, degree, communication address, postcode, affiliation, telephone number, email address, for communication and payment.
