The Journal of Ceramics was once again selected as a core journal of China in the 2023 edition

On December 26, 2023, the Journal of Ceramics received a notice from the editorial board of the 2023 edition of “A Guide to the Core Journal of China”, stating that the Journal will once again be included in the 2023 edition (the 10th edition) as a core journal in the basic inorganic chemical industry/silicate industry category. This is the sixth consecutive time since 2008 that the Journal of Ceramics has been selected as a core journal of China.
It is reported that the 2023 edition of “A Guide to the Core Journal of China” has been under research since October 2021. The research work was hosted by the Peking University Library, and 148 experts and staff from 32 units participated in it. 9473 subject experts from all over the country are involved in the review of the core issue list. After quantitative screening and expert qualitative evaluation, 1987 core journals were selected from Chinese journals currently being published in China.
The Journal of Ceramics is currently a core journal of China (from 2008 to present) and a Chinese science and technology core journal (from 2004 to present). It has been included in databases such as the Japan Science & Technology Agency (JST), the World Journal Clout Index (WJCI) Report of Scientific and Technological Periodicals, the Classification Catalogue of High Quality Science and Technology Journals in the Field of Inorganic and Non metallic Materials, and Scopus.
