Abstract: Stereo lithography additive manufacturing is a new process for ceramics fabrication, which has the advantages of high forming accuracy, simple printing system, high surface finish of shaped ceramic components and ability to realize high densification. It has broad application prospects in the development of complex shaped ceramic components. In view of the fact that the rheological properties of the ceramic slurries used for stereo lithography additive manufacturing are crucial for the preparation of high-quality ceramic components, the three technical means for optimizing the rheological properties of the ceramic slurries are reviewed in this paper, including effect of dispersant, surface modification of ceramic powders and optimizing resin system and ceramic powders. Based on the research progress of rheological property optimization of ceramic slurries, the fabrication technology and development direction for high-performance stereo lithography additive manufacturing are prospected.
