Abstract: In recent years, organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells have been intensively studied. Because of their low cost, high efficiency and simple process, they have been demonstrated to show very promising prospects. Due to its advantages of high electron mobility, high transmittance, suitable energy level matching, low temperature processing and environmental friendliness, ZnO has become an important candidate for the electron transport layer in perovskite solar cells. This paper is aimed to summarize the progress in the development of ZnO electron transport layer of perovskite solar cells in terms of the improvement in photovoltaic conversion efficiency through modification. The future development of ZnO electron transport layer was also discussed.
