Abstract: This paper outlines the development of Shouzhou ceramics starting from its origin and spiritual connotation, introducing its history, cultural implications and aesthetics by following its technological evolution. Its typical style, shape, structure and production mode at each critical historical point establish the cultural significance and value system. By making its way into contemporary life, the new Shouzhou ceramics adopts a form updated from the historical heritage but enriched with more humanity, which makes it live in contemporary times and reproduces its vitality.
