Abstract: Al2O3/Ti (C, N)/FeB multiphase ceramics were prepared by vacuum hot pressing. The effects of Ti (C, N) and FeB mass fraction and sintering temperature on relative density, bending strength and fracture toughness of Al2O3/Ti (C, N)/FeB multiphase ceramics were investigated. The results show that, the relative density of multiphase ceramics is the maximum at 20wt.% FeB and 10wt.% Ti (C, N), and with the temperature rising, the multiphase ceramics relative density is on the increase. The maximal bending strength is 634.96 Mpa with 15wt.% Ti(C, N) and 15wt.% FeB after sintering at 1650 ℃. The maximal fracture toughness is 5.94 MPa·m1/2 with 10wt.% Ti(C, N) and 20wt.% FeB when they are sintered at 1650 ℃.
