Abstract: The open pore size distribution of porous silica ceramics for radome application was tested by a mercury porosimeter. The results show that their open pore sizes were mainly distributed between 100~400nm. Then, the silica ceramic radome was nondestructively tested by the light irradiation method, the industrial CT and the X-ray digital imaging nondestructive testing system. The working principles, testing advantages and shortages of the three methods were analyzed respectively.
