Protection and Innovative Inheritance of Excellent Porcelain Techniques in Jingdezhen

Abstract: Jingdezhen, the capital of porcelain, is the center of porcelain producing in Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911 A.D.) in China and even the world. Excellent porcelain making techniques are universal heritage of important research and protection value. The search for effective protection and inheritance methods of this intangible cultural heritage is urgent, because it is disappearing with the time. A multidimensional model is proposed for the innovative inheritance of excellent porcelain techniques in Jingdezhen, focusing on the use of modern science and technology for this purpose. It provides a new idea for the inheritance and innovation of the intangible ceramic cultural heritage.
