Abstract:The paper elaborates on the relationship between the decorations on Kraak porcelain and those on the 14th Century Pottery from West Asia. It analyzes the original production time and causes of these decorations, and concludes that the appearance of Kraak porcelain is closely related with the early trade between China and Portugal. Kraak wares were produced for trades in the mid 16th Century between merchants from Portugal, West Asia and China.
