A Device for Testing the Impact Resistance of Ceramic

Abstract: According to the testing requirements of the impact resistance for small pressing ceramic specimens used in the laboratory, we simulated the field conditions, and developed a testing device for the impact resistance of small ceramic specimens made in the lab. Ceramic specimens prepared from different formulas and sintered under different conditions were tested by the device. The timed comparison of the experimental results proved that the devices are in excellent agreement with the equipment principles of our design and they are reliable in practical application. The testing data of the devices can provide a reliable judgment of the formulas and sintering process of ceramic specimens.
