Abstract:CuO/CeO2 -ZrO2 /TiO2 catalysts were prepared using cordierite honeycomb ball as support. The catalysts were characterized by XRD and BET. The catalytic activity of CuO/CeO2 -ZrO2 /TiO2 in wet air oxidation of phenol was investigated. The efficient catalyst was obtained by measuring the COD removal of phenol in the reaction. With the reaction at 180?C, under 5 Mpa and the mixing at 600r/min, the COD removal reached 92.7% in 200min. The as -prepared cordierite honeycomb ball-supported CuO/CeO2 -ZrO2 /TiO2 catalysts are suitable for the industrialized treatment of phenol-containing wastewater owing to their high strength, easy application, low dropping percentage and Cu2 + leaching below the effluent standard for environment protection.
