Abstract: 3D printing technology can be used to prepare Al2O3 ceramic materials, not only with improved molding speed and saved time, but also allowing for personalized design and fabrication of complex shaped ceramics. Firstly, the commonly used ceramic 3D printing technologies were introduced. Secondly, from the perspective of mechanical properties of Al2O3 ceramic materials, the research status and progress of 3D printed Al2O3 ceramics in recent years were summarized. In addition, the improvement in mechanical properties of 3D printed Al2O3 ceramics by using pretreatment processes (e.g.particle size distribution and doping and post-treatment processes (e.g., infiltration and other technologies) were analyzed. Finally, the challenges and development direction of 3D printed Al2O3 ceramic materials were discussed and proposed.
