Preparation of Fe2O3- Al2O3 - SiO2- TiO2 Antibacterial Nanometre Humidity Sensitive Ceramic Membranes by SOL- GEL Processing

Abstract:  Fe2O3- Al2O3 - SiO2- TiO2 antibacterial nanometer humidity s ensitive thin film on Al2O3 substrate was prepared by the sol- gel method, and the antibacterial action of the film is dis cussed.Surface nanos cale topography and microstructure of membranes were investigated by SEM and AFM. The produced nanometer antibacterial thin films have many characteristics, such as wide range of antibacterial effects, high efficiency, no poison to people, health, and so on. The experiment results revealed high sensitivity of humidity s ensor made of nanometer Fe2O3- Al2O3 - SiO2- TiO2 ceramic thin film.
