Abstract: By experiments, two kinds of high alumina ceramics in apparently different structure were obtained. Their properties were then measured and compared, and the relations of the material's microstructure with its formula and preparation process were analyzed. The results indicated that high alumina ceramics with excellent performance could be obtained by improving its microstructure through the addition of additives and the adoption of proper sintering s chemes.
