The Effect of Y2O3－Al2O3－SiO2additives in low－Temperature Sintering of Silicon Carbide

Abstract: The role of Y2O3－Al2O3additives in low－temperature pressureless sintering of silicon carbide was investigated．The effect of SiO2introduced into Y2O3－Al2O3additives was discussed．The results showed that it was possible to cut down the sintering temperature of silicon carbide by rational multiphase additives．
