Abstract: In this paper, the effects of some factors on the rheology of silicon nitride aqueous suspension are investigated. The experimental results show that there are different isoelectric point( IEP) for various silicon nitride powders. The introduction of dispersant to suspension significantly improves the theology of the suspension, and the optimum theology is attained when the dispersant amount is 1.2wt. % for powder A. The particle size and the morphology of the powders have a significant influence on the theology of the suspension. The theology of the suspension become worse when the povder is coarser and has more irregular morphology.
