Abstract: It was in 1979 that the idea，abnormal shaped roller head forming ovel dish products，was put forward in our country. Since then a number of tests on it have been done in some manufactures. The paper first studied the problems which interfere in the roller head forming dish products in green body，then it proved the surface equation of the abnormal shaped roller head. Some suggestions were also made on how to design the roller head. The best velocity of rotation between the main bearing and roller head is be-low 3 / 2，and it is better to take its slanting angle about 300.
