Abstract: The writers have improved CST- 162 magnetics sparators which are used largely in ceramic factories . The paper gives the design improved. According to this design the new devices have already been made. Tbe measurements of two kinds of separators are also given in the paper, It shows that the new type magnetic separators are more econo-mical than CST type. For example ，the copper used in the new type separator is reduced 35.8% as compared with CST- 162 type. And that the water colding sys-tem is omitted from the new type device. In effect in which iron is separated from ceramic material ,the new type separator is as good as CST- 162 type separator.This design is va1uable to improve other small magnetic separators which are used in many ceramic factories . In additon, two suggestions for the farther improvement of the new type separator is given in the paper.
