Abstract:The mineral phases in kaolin taken from Kao-lin Village were inve- stigated with X-ray diffraction analysis and the electronic microscopy.It is pointed out in the paper that in the samples taken from secondary kaoli mineral phases are simple, mainly containing halloysite, but in the other samples from primary kaolin the mineral phases are relatively complicated， containing kaolinite, illite, albite, muscovite and quarts,In addition,through the medium of electronic microscope it may be seen that most of the halloysite crystalls in the secondary kaolin appear as thicker and shorter tubulose shape.
