Abstract: The photocatalyst of nanocrys talline ZnO were prepared by precipitation method with ZnSO₄·7H₂O and Na₂CO₃ as raw materials . The photocatalytic degradation of Methyl orange in water was studied in photoreactor with high- pres sure mercury lamp as light source and nanocrys talline ZnO as photocatalyst. The effects of the catalys t loading, the initial concentration of methyl orange, pH value and the s intering temperature of ZnO were also inves tigated.
