Abstract:ZnO/SnO2 nanocomposites were prepared by coprecipitation method with SnCl4·5H2O, ZnNO3·6H2O, HCl and NaOH as raw materials, and characterized by TG-DSC, XRD and TEM. The photocatalytic activity of the nanocomposites with different ZnO/SnO2 ratios and calcined at different temperatures was observed in their degradation of methyl orange. The results showed that the photocatalytic activity of ZnO was increased significantly when compounded with SnO2, and when the ratio of ZnO:SnO2 was 4:1, the photocatalytic activity of the nanocomposite was the best; the nanocomposite calcined at 650 ℃ for 2h had the best performance.
