LIU Xin-yuan

Abstract: The Paper is devided in five parts with five problems. Based on the historical documents, investigations were made in the first two parts on the purpose of the establishment of Fou Liang Porcelain Bureau, in Jingdezhen by the Yuan court， on the scale of the porcelain bureau and activities of the manufacture. It was pointed out that the establishment of the porcelain bureau was caused by "yuan su shang bai ”，that is"white" greatly cherished by the court then.Productive activities of the porcelain bureau were properly separated in three Periods and ended in 1352. the year provided valuable historical datas to study the latest period of the Shufu wares. In the third and fouth parts it was clarified the kilns related with the making of the Yuan blue-and white at Jingdezheh, area.It suggested that Cichow kiln had a very close relation to the Yuan blue-and white, in contrast with the latter, it had unclose relation to Jichow Kiln.In the fifth part it was confirmed the six-petalled flower seen popularly on the Yuan blue-and white. The author judged it “zhizihua" (Gardenia florida) instead of "she kan "( Belamcanda chinensis) which was called by Mr.J.A.Pope. Here he put forword different views on it from Mr.Pope.
