Abstract: The iron's furnace transmutation glaze (IFTG) is one of the most complex glaze.In this paper, a further research, about IFTG fired in oxidizing atmosphere, is done.The results obtained show that the concentration of Fe3+ in ground-glaze is influenced not only by firing atmosphere, but also by other metal oxides in the glaze, and no all of metal oxides, the cation radius of which is bigger, can turn a good· effect of furnace transmutation, although the viscosity of cover-glaze relates with radius. With EM,the microcrystal, which formed during the reaction between ground-glaze and cover-glaze, is discovcred too, and it is very important to IFTG.
