Abstract: On the basis of analysing and studying the chemical compositions of bodies and glazes for ancient porcelain of famous kilns in various dynasties ,it was discoveried that if the con­tents of weight percent of Si0₂ and Al₂0₃ are converted into 100%,the ratio of main con­stituents (wt%),SiO₂(G) / SiO₂(B),Al₂0₃(G) / Al₂0₃(B),of the glazes(G)and bodies(B)in va­rious dynasties is a constant.But the ratios are diffcrent between northern and southern china. Although the compositions of glazes and bodies were difference in various dynasties, but the main consituent ratios were the same.
