Abstract: In Japan, since ancient times, several places (especially Kyoto) have been greatly developed as cultural gathering places. Because of its century-old imperial history, Kyoto became the cultural center of Japan; at the same time, as a center for the exchange of domestic and foreign materials, it was the country's largest consumer city at the time.
