Abstract： Producing initial value used  in planar four-bar  path generator synthcsis with interactive mode is presented.The  method  has been  proven  to  be simple  and  practical.The  users  may  choose  some curves  from  the  linkage  curve  coupler  atlases  produced  by  computer  and  display  them  and  the points  of  path  which  were  given  on  the  screen. Through  the  coordinate fransformations of  points and the mechanism  parametes the choice of the initial value of generator synthesis is finished.
