Abstract: This parer, first taking the elastoplastic theory as the base, has respectively reasoned the simulated transforming formulation of torsion test from convention test for minor diameter to major diameter sincere and hollow specinens. Tested and verified by the the results of the test, a transforming method of torsion test has been put forward. Thus expanding the range in torsion test and achiveing the objective to determine the properties of torsional mechanics in major diameter specimen or hollow specimen with small capacity torsion testing machine.
