The Influence of Chinese Paintings on Traditional Ceramic Paintings since the Yuan Dynasties

Abstract: Traditional ceramic painting is an independent type of painting formed by absorbing and fusing the ideas, styles and techniques of Chinese painting in the context of Chinese native arts. Especially since the Yuan Dynasties, hand-paintings have become the mainstream of ceramic decoration. With vertical context of the development of ceramic painting, the influence of Chinese painting on the traditional ceramic painting will be elaborated, in terms of aesthetics, drawing techniques, expression forms and so on.
