On September 20, 2023, the Institute of Science and Technical Information of China held the “2023 China Science and Technology Paper Statistical Results Conference and China First Class Science and Technology Paper World Impact Evaluation Forum” at the Beijing International Convention Center, and released the 2023 edition of the “China Science and Technology Journal Citation Report (Core Edition)” (The key magazine of China technology) list. The Journal of Ceramics has once again been selected as a “The key magazine of China technology”, and since 2004, it has been continuously selected as a key magazine of China technology. It is reported that the 2023 edition of the “China Science and Technology Journal Citation Report” (core edition) includes 2151 Chinese natural science journals and has published 456700 papers. 403 journals in the field of social sciences were included and 50000 papers were published. The average impact factor of China’s core scientific and technological journals is 1.048. Since 2001, the average annual growth rate has been 6.8%; The average total citation frequency of a journal is 1683, with an average annual growth rate of 9.0% since 2001. In 2022, Chinese scientific and technological journals published 41900 scientific research achievements produced by national major special projects and key research and development plans. The papers are mainly distributed in clinical medicine, agriculture, computing technology, environmental science, electronics, communication and automation, and geosciences.
