Abstract: Layered rare-earth hydroxide Y2-xEux(OH)5NO3•nH2O(LRH) with fluorescent characteristic of Eu3+ was prepared by microwave method, and X-ray diffraction displayed that the material layer spacing about 0.9 nm. The interlayer space enlarged after anion exchange under the condition of microwave. The photoluminescence intencity of LRH enhanced significantly due to the antenna effect of organic anion.The nanosheets of LRH were exfoliated in formamide solvent with the aid of ultrasonic, and the size of obtained nanosheets distributed in the range of 500-1000 nm.
