Abstract: A general survey of how texture has been applied to ceramic art in history shows its important role in rendering life to ceramics.The diversified forms and colors of texture have dramatically increased the expressiveness and artistry of ceramic products. This paper reviews excellent ceramic art works with the focus on their texture and then summarizes their texturing techniques, classifications and artistic results.
