Abstract: Cobalt-aluminum-blue particleless ceramic ink was prepared with EDTA-Co as cobalt source, EDTA-Al as aluminum source and PEG200 as solvent. The ink had great rheological properties and extremely high stability, which could solve the existing problems of ceramic ink, such as nozzle clogging and poor stability. Nanocrystalline CoAl2O4 pigment powders could be prepared by calcining the ink at high temperature. The influence of calcination temperatures (800, 900, 1000 and 1100 °C) on the content of Co3O4 impurities and the color performance of the ink was investigated by colorimeter, XRD and UV-vis spectrum. The results showed that with the increase of calcination temperature, the content of Co3O4 impurity decreased, which caused the brightness of the pigment increased gradually and b value decreased gradually. The optimum color performance was obtained when the ink was calcinated at 1100 °C, with its b* value at 23.13.
