Abstract: After the study of their properties, copper mine tailings, kaolin and fly ash were calcined and then used as the main ingredients to prepare geopolymeric cement with the admixture of NaOH, Na2SiF6 , (NaPO4)3 , Na2SiO3 and water. It is indicated that geopolymeric cement obtained from a batch of 28.28% of fly ash, 28.28% of copper mine tailings,14.13% of kaolin, 6.36% of sodium hydroxide, 3.5% of coagulation sludge, 1.06% of sodium tripolyphosphate and 18.4% sodium silicate has good acid and fire resistance and its 7d compressive strength is 28.46MPa, The reaction mechanism of geopolymeric cement was analysed by XRD, SEM and DTA.

Key words: fly ash; copper mine tailings; kaolin, coagulation sludge; geopolymeric cement
